Amanda DeBernardi is an oracle card creator, coach, and self-proclaimed “Agent of the Universe”. Here’s how she found her cosmic calling…
- Name: Amanda DeBernardi
- Business: Cosmic Bohemian Studio
- Location: Rock Springs, WY, USA
- Sun, Moon & Rising: Leo Sun, Capricorn Moon & Gemini Moon
What do you feel is your cosmic calling?
This is going to sound cheesy, but I feel like my cosmic calling is to love people and show them how amazing and beautiful they are. I give people tools to help them recognize their own greatness. I teach courses and workshops as well as offer 1:1 coaching. My offers are focused on self-empowerment, embracing creativity, and radical self-love.
What are some of the clues you followed to figure out that this is what you were meant to do?
I have always been curious about the world around me. I love books, I love learning about people, and I love to create. For a huge part of my adult life, I shut down the naturally playful and creative part of myself because I was building a life that I thought would make me happy. I was taking myself way too seriously!
After a lot of soul searching, learning, and healing, I have embraced these parts of me. I now make creativity and learning a priority because it makes me happy. A big part of my work is helping my clients and students reconnect to what brought them joy as a child. I even created my first oracle deck called The Cosmic Playground, which is a celebration of this journey.
How has learning astrology helped you bring the pieces together?
Learning astrology has helped me understand myself and what I have to offer the world.
I use the curiosity that comes from my Gemini rising to understand and empathize with people. I use my Leo sun and Mercury to cheerlead my clients, and I use my Capricorn moon to keep all of the air and fire in my chart grounded.
“Now that I understand that this is how I am naturally wired, I feel like I have the tools to design my life and my business in a way that brings me so much joy. I no longer try to force myself to do things in ways that don’t work for me.”
What is your favorite thing about your work?
I recently took the leap and left my day job to focus on my business. I absolutely love the freedom and flexibility that I have in my day. I trust the ebb and flow of my energy and I find joy in the variety. I have been embracing my art and learning new ways to create digital art. I have really enjoyed finding ways to use my art as a medium for spreading self-love and kindness.
What is a typical workday like for you?
I wake up and do my morning self-care routine, which changes frequently but usually consists of meditation or quiet time, journaling, movement, and of course coffee.
After that, I either work on my current digital art project or polish up my latest offer. I plan the content for my blog or my next group offering. My husband is also an entrepreneur, so I often support him in his business as well.
Freedom to use my day in a way that feels energizing and nourishing is the greatest part of being my own boss!
What made you want to become a member of the Cosmic Calling Community and what are some of your favorite features?
I find so much value and healing in community. I joined the Cosmic Boss mastermind [now Cosmic Boss University] in 2020, and I made so many genuine and supportive connections through that experience that I wanted to stay and get to know other entrepreneurs. I love the courses, the Q and A’s, and the connection with other spiritually minded folks!
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome along your journey to becoming a spiritual entrepreneur?
Imposter Syndrome is a tricky beast! When I chose to live my life on my own terms, it involved a lot of deconstruction of my old habits and beliefs.
I still have moments of self-doubt, but I have learned to find joy in the creative process rather than focusing my definition of success on arbitrary goals.
“Learning to energize and empower myself rather than relying on external validation has been the biggest challenge so far.”
What’s next on the horizon? What are some of your future goals?
I recently completed my first card deck called The Cosmic Playground Oracle. I am working on polishing that and creating an online course that accompanies the deck. I recently opened an Etsy shop to sell some of my art and I have the oracle deck listed there, too. I have always wanted to host a podcast, so maybe 2022 is my year!
