2021 Career Scope for ♒️ Aquarius

You may have been well aware that we are now in the Aquarian Age, but do you even realize how BIG this is for you as an Aquarius? This is the year you were made for! All of your life people may have been quick to point out what’s weird or different about you, and now it’s like everyone suddenly needs your help with whatever it is that made you stand out in an odd way in the first place during this enormously pivotal time of change and radical expansion that is giving everyone a view into your already normal everyday mind and world.

But you’re also growing, too. With strict teacher planet Saturn moving through your sign for the next 2.5 years, it is time for you to graduate from one identity to the next. This first year is all about stepping away from the structures and systems you’ve built up in the past that you will no longer allow to constrict, constrain, or deny you your authentic expression. The sooner you can trust your intuition and drop into the universal flow (which is already leading you exactly where you need to go), the less you’ll need to struggle, suffer, and fight. It’s time to shed old skin and become someone better, more evolved, and more you. Let the universe breathe light into the world through you.

As the sign that rules over the 11th house of Community & Friendship, you are someone who tends to be acutely aware of the needs of your audience or community, and you usually take their requests very seriously. However, with South Node of Past Karma moving through your own 11th house, there is a need to step away from getting sucked into the cries from the crowd rather than letting your own curious, playful nature decide your own wacky way. This is a year for you to create the things you wish existed and to focus on satisfying yourself first when it comes to any creative pursuit you choose to take on. How about even mean taking more time off to have fun outside of work?

Q1: January – March

At the start of the year, you may be extremely busy trying to define your role or trying to assert your independence as a number of planets move through your sign, shaking up your identity and your overall concept of who you are. You are in the midst of great change and evolution. Let your inner voice, which sometimes shows up as the quietest inner knowing at first, guide you to destroy old ways of being that no longer serve you and that keep you stuck.

With Venus moving through your sign for most of February, others will be especially interested in hearing your perspective and understanding how you do the things you do. However, a tense event around the middle of February may see your plans for your new identity or way of life clashing with issues on the homefront. Problems or changes to your residence, family, or plans for your future may force you to up-level your plans faster than you had planned. Don’t worry because, even if you do experience a temporary tense period, it will all come together nicely by the end of February when your creative projects will be humming along more smoothly in a way you can finally feel more clear & confident about!

Q2: April – June

The dawn of the second quarter is a powerful time for taking inspired action to move your creative projects forward. At the start of April, it’s easier to get in the zone and get work done than it’s been in a long time. By May, be prepared to ramp up your outreach efforts to market your genius ideas on a wider scale by forming strategic collaborations with friends, colleagues, and potential media partners.

The middle of May brings a temporary window into the good fortune that will be in store for you throughout 2022 as Jupiter zooms ahead into your 2nd house of Values, Desires & Goal Setting. This is a lucky time for manifesting your desires and feeling how you want to feel more often. Eventually, Jupiter will head back into your 1st house again at the end of July, granting you with a new-found understanding of what’s possible when you put yourself first, so you can continue to assert your own unique path and voice in your community, industry, and the world.

Head’s up: The second Mercury Retrograde of the year will be strongly affecting your level of clarity around your creative projects from May 29 – June 22. While this can be a powerful time for collecting inspiration from the past, it’s not ideal for pushing forward with something new. Mark your calendars to remind yourself to take some time off to make space for your muse to come through.

Q3: July – September

The third quarter of this year is all about your relationship with you. Are you being the version of you that you want to be? How does the best version of you dress, decorate their home, run their business, make their money, and show up in the world? What does this version of you take a stand for? This is an important time to block out the crowd and focus on doing what you want to do even if other people don’t get it. The truth is… you are changing in ways they may not yet understand. But they will catch up eventually, so don’t let anyone hold you back from doing what you intuitively know is right for you.

Our final Mercury Retrograde of the year will be affecting your search for deeper meaning and wisdom as it moves through your 9th house of Education, Exploration & Self-Discovery from September 26 – October 18. This would be a positive time to go back over old courses you have forgotten about, whether yours or ones you’ve signed up for, or to revisit places you haven’t been to in a long time. Whatever you are feeling led to do, it’s important to follow the call. It may feel like you’re procrastinating, but really you are downloading a message about a better way to learn and explore life or perhaps even being invited to share your teachings with others in your own unique way.

Q4: October – December

During the last quarter of the year, it will be a good time to work on higher study and turning your knowledge into something that can make a bigger impact. A healing influence near the end of November helps you get on track with how you want to show up and share your message in the world more freely without worrying what others will think or whether they will believe you to be the expert you say you are. Honor your own expertise and others will follow suit.

Things get a bit tricky for all of us near the end of December, however, as a rare Venus Retrograde swoops on to the scene for 6 weeks starting on December 19th. If you have a steady spiritual practice, you may find that you are not as drawn to the same ways of connecting to your higher self as usual, or you may be on the look-out for other cultural traditions to inspire you to find new ways of honoring and loving yourself and finding clarity on your path. Secrets may also be revealed at this time that may alter your perception of what you really want to be doing with your life on a greater level, but it’s not a good time to make drastic changes until after the retrograde has ended because not all is clear quite yet. Finally, a tense influence around Christmastime forces you to consider different ways of creating long-term security for yourself in the future as you look towards 2022.

  • Your biggest challenge & area of growth: Being your true self, stepping up as the leader of your own life, showing others how you do the things you do or how you learned it, updating your appearance, branding, or way of dressing to be more authentically aligned with the real you, and listening less to what others think of you or want for you and listening more to your own inner knowing.
  • More of this: Creating the things you wish existed in the world, making more time to play and create just for fun outside of work, infusing more curiosity and light-heartedness into your work, bringing out your inner child, experimenting with new ideas, and making space to receive and take action on creative downloads.
  • Less of this: Surveying the crowd on what they think you should do with your life and work, being overly consumed by the problems of the world to the detriment of your own creative projects, and giving back to your community in ways that do not also serve and uplift you.
